This exhibition will cover the arrival of European players in the 1990s and the rise of urban street culture offered new sartorial choices. In recent years, footballer’s wives, especially those with their own high-profile careers, have become a key influence on women’s style choices.

BUPA Greater Manchester Run

Britain’s premier 10km race around Manchester which is live on BBC television returns for the eleventh year on 26 May 2013. With 33,000 runners, the Bupa Great Manchester Run is Britain’s premier 10km race and was first staged in 2003. Thousands of runners from across the UK, of all ages and abilities take part in the event and raise vast amounts of money for good causes and charities across the globe.

Foodies Festival

The UK’s largest celebration of food and drink, the Foodies Festival, will see visitors flock to feast on the vast array of culinary activities for the third consecutive year at Tatton Park. 2013 also sees the introduction of a dedicated Chocolate Theatre to showcase the world of chocolate and confectionary with daily demonstrations from David Greenwood-Haigh of Divine Chocolate. There will also be a wine village, bringing together producers and wine regions from across the world including Shawbury Vintners and Vicomte de Romanet.

Manchester 7s Rugby Festival

The Manchester Rugby 7s is a 3 Day International Rugby and Music Festival taking place at Broughton Park FC just a 5 minute drive from Manchester city centre.
