Heritage Open Day at GMP Museum
12 September
Visit Greater Manchester Police Museum for the mini transport festival in the yard. Visitors can have a look around the 1879 police station as well as see old police cars on display.

World Black Pudding Throwing Championships

This annual competition which dates back to the 1980s see’s Black Puddings hurtled at a pile of Yorkshire Puddings on a 20ft high plinth. Expect a lively, fun atmosphere and hundreds of pudding
