Omid Djalili – Iranalamadingdong at Bolton Albert Halls

Akram Khan: One side to the other at The Lowry

Celebrated dancer and choreographer, Akram Khan, curates a visual art exhibition for the first time in his career, bringing together elements of performance and live installation work alongside sculpture, painting and film.
The Sensory War 1914-2014 at Manchester Art Gallery
Saturday 11 October – Sunday 22 February 2015
The show examines how artists from 1914 onwards depicted the devastating impact of new military technologies utilised in a century of conflict beginning with the First World War.
The Whisky Sessions at Victoria Warehouse

This new two day music and whisky festival will create the opportunity for music lovers to taste a range of world class whiskies, while enjoying a line-up of over 20 bands including legendary local acts I Am Kloot, Gomez and Badly Drawn Boy.
Big Imaginations Family Arts Festival

Vevo Halloween Party at Victoria Warehouse

Halle Pops: The Halle’s Classical Greats: Esther Yoo at Bridgewater Hall

Manchester Christmas Markets

An evening of high-energy entertainment in front of an audience of thousands is in store, as Manchester’s spectacular Christmas Lights switch on show will once again light up Albert Square, with the biggest Christmas party in the North West.
Reindeer Parade in Oldham Town Centre

Meet Santa and his furry friends as they journey through town. Starting from Clegg Street at 12.45pm, the reindeers will make their way up High Street, Lord Street, Albion Street and Henshaw Street before resting outside the Shopping Centre around 1.15pm.

The Manchester Derby at The Etihad Stadium

With Chelsea opening up a six point lead over city and united down in eighth this crunch game could not have more riding on it. Both teams will be determined to win and with the attacking talent on show there is no doubt goals will be scored. The city will be awash with red and blue until the big kick-off at 13:30.
