Summer highlights around the region include an amazing exhibition of giant robotic Bugs at Chester Zoo, a spectacular ‘flying’ performance of Peter Pan The Never Ending Story at Manchester Arena and The Magic of Beatrix Potter at Tatton Park. And no trip would be complete without a trip to the brand new SEA LIFE Centre at intu Trafford Centre.

Sports fans should head to Old Trafford, home to reigning English football champions Manchester United, where you can take a behind the scenes tour and visit the club’s museum which blends historical exhibits with state-of-the-art interactive experiences.

Salford has a fantastic line-up of summer activities, including sporting and cultural events, waterside markets, walks and more. In August Bolton hosts the annual Ironman UK event along with Bolton Food and Drink Festival – a highlight in the national foodie calendar with celebrity chef appearances aplenty.
